Witnessing the process of healing, growth, and learning is extremely satisfying for me. I am passionate about the human experience and believe that individuals thrive most when the team/family/system to which they are connected also thrives. I have extended my passion for counseling to include team building, leadership training, and coaching so that I can develop programs that emphasize how important the development of wellness in the individual is to the development of an optimally functioning team or system.
I provide therapeutic and growth/learning wellness interventions with the process and goals of empowerment, positive/ balanced lifestyle choices, and optimum functioning. My role is to co-facilitate the growth and learning process in collaboration with the people I work with. I work best those who are willing to be active participants and personally responsible for the process of experiencing wellness.
I earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis in School Counseling from Gardner-Webb University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Maine. I am trained in Reality Therapy/Choice Theory, Gestalt Therapy, Play therapy, CBT, DBT, Trauma, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, Growth & Learning (EAGALA certified), and am a Certified Clinical Military Counselor; I am in the process of earning the BCC (Board Certified Coach).
